Tigers take down Owls’ tree

The Tiger basketball team put a 67-41 beating on district rival Smith County Monday night.


The Owlettes took the Lady Tigers down 54-48 in a tight game.


The Tigers squeaked by the Owls 13-12 in the first period of play, but extended their lead to 27-21 by halftime. DeKalb pulled out to a 50-32 advantage by the end of the third, and continued to dominate the game, winning by 26 points.
