Final escapee back in custody

A traffic accident in Florida has led to the capture of the third and final inmate to escape DeKalb County Jail.

Daniel Trey Hamilton, 26, was arrested in Fort Myers, Fla., last Tuesday after being involved in a motor vehicle crash. Hamilton will be transported back to Smithville where he will face the additional charge of escape.

Hamilton was among three men to escape from DeKalb County Jail by jimmying open a door in the jail annex in November. He was joined in the escape by Jack Mullican Jr., 38, and Bryon Ray Gibbs, 32.
