Two injured in Alexandria wreck

Duane Sherrill photo Two people were injured in Alexandria Thursday morning when a vehicle driven by Barbara Reynolds crossed over from Main Street into the path of the oncoming vehicle driven by McKenzie Meadows. Reynolds was extricated from the wreckage of her vehicle.

Two people were injured in Alexandria Thursday morning in a two-car crash on Highway 53 at New Hope Road.

According to Highway Patrolman Bobby Johnson, Barbara Reynolds of Alexandria was driving a 2006 Ford Taurus and was heading east on Main Street, crossing Highway 53 to New Hope Road when she pulled into the path of a 2011 Nissan Altima, driven by McKenzie Meadows, 18, of Carthage who was heading south on Highway 53. Meadows’ vehicle hit the Reynolds car in the driver side.
