Chase ends in crash

What started as an attempted routine traffic stop on Monday evening ended with a fiery crash, two arrested and one still on the run remaining at large at press time.

According to Chief Mark Collins, the incident began when a Smithville Police Officer clocked a car for speeding on Miller Road and got in pursuit when the driver would not stop. The chase continued to Robinson Road, Game Ridge Road, Dry Creek Road, and onto New Home Road.
