State senate honors DHS top students

DeKalb High School valedictorian Allison Maynard and salutatorian Marshal Evins are getting high praise from Capitol Hill. Their academic achievements at the top of their class have earned them a joint resolution of recognition from the state senate.

“WHEREAS, it is fitting that the members of this General Assembly should pause to pay tribute to those students who, through their natural talents and unflagging commitment to academic excellence, have distinguished themselves in the classroom,” the resolution, introduced by State Senator Mark Pody begins.
