Two escape injury in bridge crash

Two people apparently escaped with minor bumps and bruises when the 2013 Mustang they were traveling in left the roadway and came to rest under a bridge Sunday. Captain Steven Leffew of the Smithville Police Department told the Review that Christal Cantrell, 44, of Murfreesboro was headed east with a passenger, 36-year-old Matthew Phillips of Smyrna when she lost control of the car and broke a utility pole guidewire before careening down a creek bank and and under a bridge at Anthony Avenue and Highway 70.
