McMillen pitches in World Series

 

Former DCHS Tiger pitcher Sam McMillen, now throwing for the Hiwassee College Tigers, pitched five innings in the National Christian College Athletic Association World Series in Mason, Ohio last week.

 

In the first game of pool play, Hiwassee faced Southwestern Christian College (OK). With the Tigers down 6-0 in the top of the fifth, McMillen was tapped to take the mound. The freshman gave up four runs on six hits, struck out one batter and walked two.

 

The Tigers were shut out 10-0 for the first time in post season play.
