Tennis team nets sweep

Faith Judkins posted an 8-0 win in helping the DCHS tennis team sweep Livingston.

The DeKalb County High School tennis team swept Livingston this past week, the girls’ winning margin coming in doubles action while singles proved to be the key to success for the boys team.

The girls split their singles matches 3-3 with their top seeds all winning. Kayla Belk topped Zoe Higgs 8-3 while Faith Judkins beat Ciara Crabtree 8-0 and Catherine Caplinger defeated Kasey Short 8-3. High school matches go to the first player to win eight games but they must win by two. A tie at the end means a tie-breaker game.
