Dads are the best

I hope all the dad’s had a great Father’s Day. We celebrated with a nice dinner for Douglas at our house. He enjoyed it.

What is a dad?

A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again. A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead lets you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt. A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail. Author unknown.

Birthdays celebrated this week were Regena Daw, Kolter Kilgore, and Brandon Rackley. We wish them many more. Happy anniversary to Jonathan and Elisha Puckett they celebrated their fourth anniversary this past week.

A dinner was held at the home of Angie Meadows in honor of Brandon Rackley’s birthday. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food and Brandon enjoyed his gifts.

Harper Hale is doing better glad to see her in church this Sunday. We will continue to pray for Ciara Hale’s Dad, Ronnie Farr while he is home recovering.

I talked with Treba Hawkins she is doing well. Treba is a fine Christian lady. She taught my son, Hayden Ervin, Stephanie Tiner, and Spencer Stanfield in Sunday school when they were small. They loved her so much they would not move up to the next class. Which was fine with her. They will always have a special love for Ms. Treba as she does them. Ms. Treba had written a poem for each child to be given to them when they were expecting their first child. Stephanie received her poem from Ms. Treba at her baby shower. It was written from the heart and very heart warming.
