Happy Birthday to Angie Meadows who celebrated her birthday on Sunday, October 23. Her family honored her with a dinner and her favorite Pecan Pie. Those attending were JoAnn Pittman, Brandon Rackley, Wil Meadows, Stephanie and Billy Tiner and little Sophi.

Also celebrating a birthday on Monday, October 24 is John Kilgore. John, Ginda, and Kolter and Kora just returned from a cruise in the Bahamas. They all enjoyed the trip.

Stephanie Tiner, Brittany Bogle, Lindsy Winfree, Melissa Yarbrough and Angie Meadows spent Saturday morning together having a yard sale. I think they might have gotten a little cold as I went to see them they were all in scarfs and freezing. They did sell a lot but I think they had fun just being together.

New Home Baptist Church will be having a Fun Day on October 29 beginning at 2 p.m. everyone is invited. We will also be having a hay ride later in the evening.

I hope everyone has stocked up on Halloween candy. I have to get mine this week. I only get a few spooks mostly family where I live. Where I grew up we always had plenty of spooks we bought candy and apples and would still have to go out and get more candy.

I went to Murfreesboro with my daughter, Lindsy Winfree and Charlee Mac Friday. My how times have changed. I was telling Lindsy to keep an eye of Charlee at all times. You see so much bad things on the news. I remember growing up and all the kids played together in one yard or the other. You really never heard about children being taken or hurt. We just roamed all over the neighborhood. Then when I had Lindsy things did change a bit we had to watch her more. But I remember being able to watch her play at a distance. But now you have to be right there with your child. It is really sad the shape this world is in. You don’t realize how good your childhood was till you look back on it now.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween.

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord. Psalms 31: 24
