Learning about Katie

Thanks to Bobbie Young for her news about the McGuinness woman who lived near Alexandria and went to Detroit, Michigan to find work. Her name was Katie and she lost a son in WWII, Robert Jewel never set foot in France where the war was in full force. In fact three from DeKalb were there, T. J. Cantrell, Allen Love, and Charles Keyt. Bobbie also told me that Katie had another boy who held Masonic funerals for the Masons. Grady McGuiness and his wife are dead.

Two weeks before being shipped out to sea Robert Jewel married his high school sweetheart, Loraine English of Liberty. Mr. English sold coal. Any information who be appreciated.

Today March 13, 2017 has been a cold rainy day here in the valley.

Edward and Edsel Frazier are 91 years old today. Dry Creek Baptist Church entertained them for Sunday evening. These men enjoyed a family and friends party on March 14 at First Baptist fellowship hall. We wish these fine men many more birthday celebrations for years to come.

On Good Friday, April 14 will be the adults out to eat at Golden Corral in Cookeville. Easter is April 16. Thanks to Bobbie Young on her information about the McGinnnes family.
