We really enjoyed reading about the Frazier twin’s in their article last week. We love these men and wish them many more years to enjoy life together.
It took us back to our days of working in Detroit during the War. My job was working as a floor lady over thirty women at Zenith Carburetor. Times were hard after the depression of the 30s, so many people left Tennessee to seek work. We remember Mattie Joines leaving DeKalb to come to Detroit to work. She saved enough money to buy their farm on Dry Creek. People were determined to make a better life. There was one lady who worked on my floor that was from the Alexandria area. She always had a sad look on her face. We offered our support to her, but she had a heavy heart. She shared with me about the death of her son in the war. I have often wondered if any of her family was still in this area. Her name was Mrs. McGinnis from Alexandria area. If anyone knows of this family from back then please let me know.
It was good to have two of my Alabama grandchildren home this past weekend to help celebrate Judy and Jimmy Kimbrell’s 50th Anniversary, Todd and Gail Knuckles and children and Henry and Natalie Frazier all of AL. We don’t get to see them often, so it was great having them home. Rita Fuson-Frazier of Hermitage also attended.
We heard sickness closed our schools, so we send out get wells to all that are sick. Katherine Pack’s new granddaughter, Liza Arnold, has really been sick. We pray for that sweet baby. Baby Lela Young is home with her family after her extended hospital stay. We praise God for answering prays for this baby girl.
We are still canning a few things. Matilda Earl and I canned a few cans of kraut last week, and made some fried apple pies. I am chopping up peppers and onions for Hot Tom Chili and some Salsa.
Continue praying for the Hawker family, Alvis family, and the Murphy family. Sickness and death is all around us. These families need our prayer support.
Isaiah 41:10
10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
