I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. This week the weather is going to be great in the 80’s.
Vacation Bible school will be held at New Home Missionary Baptist Church May 6, 7 and 8. The theme for this year is “Submerged.” Bible school will begin at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. everyone is invited to attend.
I am glad DeKalb County High School graduation was held with our any rainfall. Congratulations to all the graduates.
I am sure everyone with a garden enjoyed the rainfall. There are so many different ways to grow gardens now. Big or small I have seen herbs growing in a mason jar to cucumbers growing upward on a trellis. Raised beds are great for a small garden, or plants in pots on your deck or patio for easy watering or convenience. Growing up we always had a big garden maybe even two of them. Sorry to say I don’t garden anymore. I have family that does and they always share their bounty with me.
Seems like the older I get the less time I seem to have, I thought it would be the other way around, but there is never enough time for things you want to do.
Memorial Day is coming up Monday, May 30. Take time to remember the soldiers who gave their lives for all of us for our freedom. Also remember the ones who are still serving today, remember their families as well. May God bless them and keep them safe.
