I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I prepared a birthday dinner for my husband, Douglas Ervin and daughter, Lindsy Winfree. Those attending were Ryan and Charlee Mac Winfree, Hayden Ervin and Katie Roehner and Rebecca Ervin. We all had a great time.

Guests at the home of Mark and Kimberley Violet and Spencer Stanfield were Hunter, Nicole, Ryder, Cooper, and Tucker Stanfield. They enjoyed a meal together.

Rebecca Ervin and Pam Page went shopping in McMinnville this past week. They had a good time.

Hunter Stanfield is preacher at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church for the month of April.

So far this turkey season Artie Daw and son, Nickolas have both killed a turkey. Time for Regena to get her turkey now.

This weekend is the Watertown Spring yard sale. I have been several times. If you haven’t been, go. You will always find something you need. The yard sale usually starts right here in Smithville with a few set up. On your drive down I know there is probably one in Dowelltown, Liberty, and Alexandria before you get to Watertown.

Also the Southern Women’s Show in Nashville at the Music City Center will be April 14-17.

And if you haven’t heard, The Smithville Review will be having The DeKalb County Women’s Expo 2016.

And we are very excited about this and there will be lots of vendors there. It will be held May 14, 2016 from 8 a.m., to 3 p.m. at the DeKalb County Complex.  Come out and be a part of this event.

I am glad to see some warmer weather forecasted for this week.  Although there is a high chance of rain. But look forward to Friday sunshine and maybe a high of 71 degrees.

We had a wonderful service at New Home Baptist Church Sunday. Bro. Bobby Hale preached a good message as he always does.
