The DeKalb County 4-H County-Wide Speech will be held Saturday, January 9th 2021 at the DeKalb Community Complex Auditorium. This year’s contest will be open to any fourth through 12th grader who wishes to participate. Fourth through eighth-grade speeches may be on any topic while 9th-12th grade must relate to 4-H.

 

Time limits:

-4th: 1-3 Minutes

-5th-6th: 2-4 Minutes

-7th-12th: 3-5 minutes

 

Contest Times:

-4th Grade: Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the contest starting at 10:00 a.m. 

-5th Grade: Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the contest starting at 1:00 p.m.

-6th-12th Grade: Registration will begin at 2:30 p.m. with the contest starting at 3:00 p.m. 

 

Contestants must RSVP to 615-597-4945 or lfuson2@utk.edu by January 5th. Covid-19 precautions will be in place. We ask that everyone social distance and wear a mask when not presenting. Contestants are limited to two guests each if possible.
