Fire of unknown origins swept through the attic of a South Mountain Street home Tuesday afternoon.

Elements of the Smithville Fire Department were able to knock down the smoker before it broke out into a full blown house fire. The blaze broke out in the upper part of the house and was spotted by passersby. No one was hurt in the fire.
