Authorities Still Searching for Missing Woman
Miller

Authorities are still searching for a missing woman who has not been seen since the Fourth of July holiday. Officials say they have been performing grid searches around the woman’s property on Hurricane Ridge Road in Smithville and adjacent properties.

Brittany Ann Miller, 31, is reported as a white female, 5' 4" and 150 pounds. She has dark brown shoulder length hair, blue eyes, and wears black frame glasses. Miller reportedly has a tattoo of "Adam" across her forearm and "Tyler" on right ankle.

Miller was last seen wearing a black tee shirt possibly saying "DCHS Tigers", black shorts knee length, black tennis shoes with black "no show" socks. She was last seen on July 4, 2022, around 4:00 p.m. at her home.

Searches have been conducted on foot and using ATVs, with the assistance of the DeKalb Rescue Squad, and tracking dogs from the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department and Murfreesboro Police Department. A drone from StormPoint Emergency Response has also been used to survey the area, as well as Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter.

Searches have also been conducted in the water by the Rescue Squad at boat ramps and other areas of the lake. Sonar was used to search the waters.

An investigator from the DA's Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are also assisting in the case.

Miller has been put into the National Crime Information Center as a missing person and Sheriff’s officials are asking if you have seen Brittany Miller since July 4, or have any information of her whereabouts, to please notify DeKalb Central Dispatch at 615-215-3000 or the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department Crime Tip Line at 615-464-6400.
