A benefit soup and chili supper and auction will be held Nov. 3 at Smithville Church of God with supper at 5 p.m. and auction at 6 p.m. $5 for supper. Proceeds will go to help Martha Melching who is guidance counselor at DeKalb Middle School. She is expecting her second child and has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
