Bledsoe jailed for assault of co-worker

Don’t hit your co-worker across the head with a pipe if you don’t want to go to jail.

Quincy M. Bledsoe, 40, of Smithville was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly hit a co-worker across the head with a pipe at a local factory.

According to the police report, officers responded to the industry in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with several people and were advised that there had been an altercation between two employees. The officer observed the victim laying on the ground bleeding from the head. The suspect, Bledsoe, had left on foot. The officer reviewed video surveillance footage and observed Bledsoe approach the victim from behind and strike him in the head with a pipe. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that there had been disagreements between both parties throughout the afternoon.

His bond was set at $5,000, and he is to appear in court on July 23.
