Adam Daniel Taylor, 39, of 102 W. Market Street was cited on April 8, 2020 for Simple Possession/Meth. Taylor was found to have in his possession .1 grams of Meth in his shorts pocket inside a small plastic baggie. The substance did field test positive for Methamphetamine. He is to appear in court June 11, 2020.

Stephen Brandon Pirtle, 35, of Nashville was arrested for DUI on April 9, 2020. Police responded to a possible intoxicated driver coming into town on Cookeville Hwy. The officer made contact with a vehicle parked on the side of the road and upon speaking with the driver, found to be Pirtle, the officer could smell an alcoholic beverage on his person. Pirtle was asked and consented to field sobriety tasks to which he performed poorly. His court date is June 11, 2020.GS:

Josie Danielle Culwell, 27, of 381 Eagle Creek Road was cited on April 13, 2020 for Simple Possession Casual Exchange. Culwell was stopped for a traffic violation and consent to search her vehicle was given and three capsules, believed to be Gabapentine, was located. Culwell could not produce a prescription for the medication. Her court date is set for June 11, 2020.

Teresa Pauline Thomas, 44, of 236 Meadow Brook Dr was cited for Dog at Large on April 21, 2020.. Thomas’ dog did go into a neighbor’s yard and did bite the resident. Thomas advised that the dog was not hers but it has been staying at her house for several months. She is scheduled to appear in court July 16, 2020.

Joseph Harvey Clark, 36, of Sparta was arrested on April 22, 2020 for Domestic Assault. Police responded to 536 W. Main St for a physical domestic. The officer made contact with the victim and was informed that Clark was intoxicated and when asked to leave, he started throwing beer bottles. The victim tried to knock the beer bottles away from him but Clark slammed the victim on the ground and put his arm and elbow on his throat keeping him from breathing. The victim then took pepper spray and sprayed him until he let go and contacted the police. Bond was set at $2,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court June 11, 2020.

Gabina Pena Alfaro, 36, of 622 Highland Street was arrested on April 26, 2020 for DUI. Police responded to a single vehicle accident on Miller Road and made contact with Alfaro sitting in the driver’s seat. The officer could smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and he observed her to have slurred speech and appeared to be having trouble remembering what had happened. The officer discovered that she had four or five beers earlier and she was asked and consented to field sobriety tasks to which she performed poorly. A court date of June 4, 2020 was set.

Milton Martinez Yanes, 36, of 223 E Bryant Street was arrested for Domestic Assault on April 28, 2020. According to the warrant: Yanes did assault his girlfriend by striking her in the face and mouth leaving visible injuries, including a busted bottom lip and bruises on her face. Officers were informed that they were in the bedroom and got into a verbal argument which led to Yanes assaulting her. Bond was set at $1,500, and he is to appear in court June 11, 2020.

Jere R Green, 21, of 402 S. Mountain Street was arrested on April 29, 2020 for Reckless Endangerment. Green was involved in a verbal altercation with his girlfriend and sister and as they were walking away from the residence, Green did produce a handgun and fire it into the air. Due to the close proximity of homes and businesses in the area and an ordinance against the discharge of a firearm in the city, Green’s actions did place the public in immediate danger and cause several people in the area to fear for their safety.  His bond was set at $15,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court June 11, 2020.
