Commencement was held Friday night for the Class of 2019, this year's weather much better than last year's wet celebration.
Caps flew in the air following the hour-long ceremony at the football field after seniors heard remarks from Valedictorian Madison Cantrell and awards were passed out by Principal Randy Jennings.
Three of the most outstanding members of the class were given special recognition. This year’s White Rose Awards were issued to Madison Cantrell and Andrew Fuson to while the Citizenship Award was presented to Axel Rico. The White Rose is presented to a boy and girl from the senior class with strong academic performance and contribution to the school and community and exemplary moral character. The Citizenship Award is given to a student in the senior class who exemplifies strong academic performance and contribution to the school and community.
