It was a scary ride for this truck driver after his big rig flipped around a curve near Sligo Bridge last week.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Bobby Johnson, 50-year-old David Gray of Antioch, TN, was traveling west in a 2017 International semi-truck, when it overturned while negotiating a curve. The rig came to rest on its side on top of a concrete traffic barrier. A passerby stopped to help Gray from the semi, who was uninjured.

The truck was fully loaded with automotive parts at the time of the crash, and took several hours for the trailer to be unloaded in order to upright the vehicle.

Gray was cited for failure to exercise due care.
