Congressman John Rose to Headline DeKalb GOP BBQ
John Rose

The DeKalb County Republican Party will be hosting a FREE BBQ at Greenbrook Park in Smithville on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 11:00AM-1:00PM. All DeKalb County Republicans are invited to come and share in fellowship and hear from Congressman Rose. Free Fireman One BBQ, along with chips and drinks will be available for those in attendance. Congressman Rose was elected in 2018 with more than 70% of the vote and represents Tennessee’s Sixth Congressional District, including DeKalb County and all of the Upper Cumberland. He grew up working on his family’s DeKalb County farm in the Temperance Hall community.

“It’s an honor to have Congressman Rose back home in DeKalb County,” GOP Chair Dustin Estes said. “Congressman Rose is a true leader and carries our Tennessee Values with him to Washington DC. There is no more important time in our Country, and I know Congressman Rose will share with us how he is pushing back against the Biden/Pelosi liberal agenda.”

“I also want to take a moment and thank our sponsors of this event-Matt Adcock (Candidate for DeKalb County Mayor), Mingy Ball (Candidate for General Sessions Judge), Clark Boyd (State Representative-46th District), Shannon Cantrell (DeKalb County Assessor of Property), Brandon Cox (Candidate for General Sessions Judge), Danny Hale (DeKalb County Road Supervisor), Caroline Knight (Candidate for Circuit Judge, Part II), Josh Miller (Mayor-City of Smithville), Mark Pody (State Senator-17th District), William T. Ridley (Candidate for Circuit Judge, Part I), Daniel Seber (Candidate for DeKalb County Register of Deeds), Hagen Waggoner (Candidate for DeKalb County Commission-2nd District), and Terri Lynn Weaver (State Representative-40th District),” continued Estes. “Their contributions helped us make this event free for everyone and provide much needed funds to help us elect Conservative Republicans in 2022.”

Other State, County, and Local Republican Officeholders will be in attendance and recognized. Again, this is a free, family-oriented event and open to all DeKalb County residents. For more information, go to our Facebook Page at DeKalb County Republican Party.
