Convicted felon racks up several charges

Ryan Lee Walden, 36, of Dowelltown was arrested on May 7 and charged with three counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of theft of property, one count of burglary, one count of possession of burglary tools, two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon and one count of possession of methamphetamine. His bond was set at $70,000, and he is to appear in court August 8.

The charges stem from an investigation from DeKalb County Investigators from where April 28 Walden allegedly entered a residence on Old Highway 53 in Liberty with the intent to deprive the owner of property. The total value of property taken was $2,950. Some of the items taken was a Taurus Judge 45 caliber handgun, a 50” Vizeo TV, three cross bows, a portable generator, several fishing poles and documents. On May 5, he entered the same residence two times, using a crow bar, in one day and allegedly took a Skill Warrior plus Drill, Hyper Tough Tire Inflator and Power Station 600 battery pack valued at $150. He also allegedly entered a 2012 Chevy Cruise at the same property. Chief Deputy Robert Patrick had knowledge that Walden had outstanding warrants and made contact with him in Smithville. Once he was placed in custody, he gave consent to search his vehicle. At that time, a loaded 9 mm handgun was found under the seat, a loaded Taurus Judge was found in the passenger seat and 1.4 grans if a crystal like substance, believed to be methamphetamine, was found on his person. Also found was a loaded syringe and 10 unused syringes.

Christie Dawn Bouldin, 39, of Dowelltown was arrested on May 4 and charged with public intoxication and violation general sessions probation.

On May 4, 2020 a DeKalb Sheriff’s deputy responded to a possible domestic at E.H. Haas Road in Dowelltown. Bouldin was traveling from a driveway on E.H. Haas Road, and told the deputy she and a male subject had gotten into an altercation. When EMS arrived to check Bouldin, she became belligerent and uncooperative. There were no physical signs of abuse. She continued to be belligerent and seemed to be under the influence of something. The deputy placed her under arrest. She is to appear in court June. 11.

Eric Dean Morgan, 30, of Alexandria was arrested on May 8 for violation of an order of protection.

On May 8, 2020 at a residence on Malone Hollow Road in Alexandria, Morgan was in violation of an order of protection served on him on April 8.

Bulmaro Vega Torres, 50, of Smithville was arrested on May 7 and charged with DUI first offense. He is to appear in court June 11.

A deputy witnessed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel, swerving to the shoulder of the road at least six times. The deputy initiated a stop where Torres had an odor of alcohol and slurred speech. He submitted to and performed poorly.
