Joel Acuna DeLacruz, Sr, 51, of Smithville was charged with domestic assault on Aug. 1. A deputy responded to a domestic where Delacruz has struck his wife in the back of the head during an argument. A know was evident on her head. He was arrested and charged with assault.

Billie Jo Morris, 47, of Smithville was arrested and charged with aggravated assault on July 30. On July 9 Morris caused bodily injury to a female using a weapon. A deputy responded to the local hospital where a female stated Morris had hit her with a golf club and tried to strike her a second time but she had grabbed the club. The victim had bruises to her right arm and left arm where she had fallen after being struck.

Michael Brady McGhee, 27, of Smithville was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing on July 28. A sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Vanatta Subdivision on July 28 for an unwanted guest. Once there the deputy talked with the homeowner who said she did not want McGhee on her property. McGhee was told by the deputy to leave but refused. He was arrested and charged with trespassing.

Jessica Lee Steinbach, 43, of Smithville was arrested July 20 and charged with burglary and theft of property. On July 10 she entered a semi-trailer on Keltonburg Rd where she took several tools, grease gun, welding rods, carburetor darts and several other items valued at 1,367.00

Edward Lee Judkins, Jr., 35, of Smithville was arrested on July 20 with Steinbach as he was with her. He also received burglary and theft of property charges.

Christopher Elliott Bradshaw, 34, was arrested on Aug. 3 and charged with vandalism, burglary,  and theft of property. His bond was set at $15,000. Bradshaw entered a houseboat on July 28, 2020 located on Floating Mill Road. He gained entry by damaging the door. Once inside he took three pairs of Ray-Ban glasses, and I phone and $200 in cash. Total value of the property was $1,800.

Markus Jay Majka, 19, of Smithville was arrested Aug. 4 and charged with methamphetamine mfg/sell/or possess. His bond was set at $5,000. Majka was stopped by two Sheriff Detectives after failing to maintain lane of travel. He consented to a search of the vehicle where seven baggies of a crystal like substance was found. The baggies weighed between .55 grams to .65 grams. A scale was also found along with 17 additional baggies with residue in them, several glass pipes and other paraphernalia. He also received citations for the paraphernalia and failure to maintain roadway for travel.

Stephen Anthony Patterson, 42, of Smithville was arrested Aug. 5. He was charged with sale and delivery of a schedule VI drug, marijuana, and second offense driving on revoked license. Patterson was stopped by two Sheriff Detectives who knew there was an outstanding warrant against him. Patterson’s license were revoked in December 2017 for a DUI and have not been reinstated. He has a prior charge against him in Warren County for driving while revoked in March 2019. Patterson gave consent for a search of his person and vehicle, which turned up a pouch containing 4.0 ounces of marijuana that was found in the cab of the truck. He had $754 on him believed to be proceeds from the sale of the illegal narcotics which was seized.
