Michael Andrew Snyders, Jr, 35, of Smithville Aug. 24 aggravated burglary and vandalism. His bond was set at $7,500, and he will appear in court Sept. 10. On July 23 Snyders broke through a front door at a residence on Page Drive and vandalized the inside of the residence. He ripped up flooring, duct work and wiring in the home. A video recorded the break-in. The damaged total $1,650.
Henry Thomas Butler, 32, of Dowelltown was arrested Aug. 26 and charged two counts of burglary, one count of aggravated burglary and two counts of theft of property. His bond was set at $25,000. On August 1, Butler entered a home and garage on Chapman Hollow Road. He took several items including two shotguns, two handguns, a leather western gun belt, several tools and a 1993 Toyota Corolla. He is set to appear in court Oct. 1.
Daniel Austin Stanley, 41, of Smithville was arrested on Aug. 26 for domestic assault. A deputy responded to a 911 hang-up on Aug. 24 at a residence on Blue Springs Road. He made contact with a male and female, Stanley’s parents. They stated that their son had assaulted them physically. The mother had a video of the incident. Stanley had struck his father in the head and body with his fist.
Dana Seborn Cantrell, 53, of Smithville was arrested Aug. 28 and charged with methamphetamine manufacture/delivery/sale/possess and possession of a schedule V drug, Gabapentin. Three sheriff’s department detective conducted a probation search on a home at Jennings Lane. The owner, Cantrell, who is on probation consented to a search. A plate with a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine and a baggy was found in a bedroom weighing .7 grams. There were two scales also located in the house and 35 Gabapentin capsules, drug paraphernalia and $140 in cash. They also found one hydrocodone pill located in the living room in a baggy. Andrew Clay Williams, 51, of Cookeville was arrested Aug. 30 for domestic assault. A deputy was dispatched to a home on Student’s Home Road for a domestic on Aug. 27. When he arrived, a male said him and his father-in-law, which is Williams, got into an argument. The victim said Williams had grabbed him by the side of the neck and arm.
Matthew Edwin Riihimaa, 67, of Silver Point was arrested on Aug. 30 for violation of an order of protection. Riihimaa knowing violated the order of protection by going around the petitioner. A deputy responded to a residence on Captain’s Point Road where a female said Riihimaa was trying to get into the residence after an active order of protection had just been served on him the same day.
