Drug and DUI cases occupied most of the DeKalb Criminal Court’s time last week, with several taking pleas in their cases.
Ivan Young,62, pled to one count of sale of a schedule II drug methamphetamine under .5 grams, a class C felony, and was given four years all suspended to supervised probation and a $2,000 fine. The sentence is to run concurrent with a Warren County probation.
Derrick Goolsby, 35, pled guilty to one count of sale of a schedule II drug methamphetamine over .5 grams, a class B felony, and was given eight years all suspended to probation and a $2,000 fine.
Jason Bradley Cripps, 48, pled guilty to two counts of simple possession and was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail, all suspended to supervised probation and a $250 fine.
Bobby Jason Taylor, 42, pled to two counts of reckless endangerment and received 11 months, 29 days in jail, all suspended to supervised CPS probation.
Lacy Lee West, 38, pled guilty to two counts of DUI second offense and was sentenced in both cases to 11 months, 29 days in jail, all suspended except for 17 days to serve, and a $650 fine. Both sentences are to run concurrent.
Christopher Gibbs, 45, was charged with DUI fourth offense, but pled down to DUI second offense. He was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail, all suspended except for 45 days to serve, loss of his driver’s license and a $600 fine.
David George, 48, pled guilty to DUI first offense was and was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail, all suspended except for 48 hours to serve, loss of his driver’s license for one year, and a $350 fine.
Justin Dale Estes, 31, pled guilty to DUI first offense and was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days in jail, all suspended except for 48 hours to serve, and a $350 fine.
