DCHS congratulates their 2023 Art Contest winners, which were selected from participants across the school district.

The high school sponsored an art contest with the elementary schools this year for homecoming.  A winner was chosen from each homeroom and these entries were then judged. Each winner was given a game pass for their family for the homecoming game, with field passes to watch the Tigers come onto the field.

This year’s 3rd through 5th grade winner was 3rd grader Ian Davis from North Side Elementary, who placed 3rd overall.

The 6th through 8th grade winner was 8th grader Jackson Lattimore from DeKalb West, who placed 2nd overall.

The kindergarten through 2nd grade winner was 2nd grader Hunter Cantrell from Smithville Elementary, who placed 1st overall. Hunter was named an honorary Captain for the night and took the game ball to the official for the opening kickoff of the Tiger’s game.
