Last Saturday DeKalb Prevention and community members who have lost a loved one due to an overdose, gathered on Saturday, May 22, to remember the loved ones lost. Overdose reversal trainings were provided, resource information, and other organizations provided material to families in our community.

A tree was planted and dedicated to those lost too soon to an overdose that read, “This tree is planted as a living remembrance of the lives lost too soon due to drug overdose, and as an inspiration to our youth to choose to live drug free. This plague dedicated this 13th day of May, 2023.”
