DeKalb County recorded its first death related to COVID-19 on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
As of press time on Monday, there were 145 confirmed cased with 75 current active cases. A total of 2,916 tests have been administered, and those with positive tests, 69 have recovered.
As with everywhere else, DeKalb sees an increase in cases on a daily basis. Wearing a mask has now been mandated by most large retail store chains, and is encouraged to wear a face covering when around others. Social distancing is also still encouraged.
The DeKalb County Health Department’s new testing hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 12 noon every day.
