Due to the (CDC) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated guidelines for COVID quarantine and isolation, the following polices will go into effect for all DeKalb County Schools on Monday, August 22.
1. If your child tests positive for COVID, it is your responsibility to call and speak with the nurse at your child’s school.
2. Attendance clerks will not code any student absence as COVID unless they receive notification from the school nurse. (This will affect PEBT cards).
3. DeKalb County Schools will no longer quarantine staff or students for exposure to COVID of any kind.
