Charges of evading arrest and reckless endangerment have been leveled against a driver after he crossed the center-line and slammed into another vehicle while trying to run from the law.
The driver, Christopher Clinton Ogletree, 31, was arrested for evading arrest and reckless endangerment. Warrants against him allege he intentionally fled law enforcement on Cookeville Highway. Deputies turned around on the suspect after he was seen driving at a high rate of speed. He was involved in the wreck just as he arrived in Smithville moments later. The sheriff said lawmen received numerous complaints of Ogletree driving recklessly prior to the time he came into contact with law enforcement.
