Diabetes Workshop, Sept. 26 –Oct. 31
Come join us for a free workshop to help better understand and manage your, or a loved one’s diabetes. Revival, Oct. 22-24
Pisgah Methodist Church will be having Revival at Hannah Branch in Liberty. The revival will be held nightly at 7p.m. Sunday the preacher will be Jeff Burton and Three Parts Grace singing. Monday night Lee Neal will be preaching, with Kathy Grisham singing. Tuesday night Bobby Thomason will be preaching with Right On Time singing.
Veterans Service Officer Ready to Assist
Are you a veteran in need of assistance? DeKalb County has a Veteran's Service Officer ready to help you, not only with filing claims, but for conversations about your service.
Retired military service officer Bill Rutherford is located on the first floor of the DeKalb County Courthouse and is ready to offer assistance. He is available for in-office visits each Tuesday and Thursday or can be reached by telephone at any time at 615-560-3610. DeKalb County appreciates the service of all veterans and is proud to provide this service.

Fall Fest Pageants seek entrants
The annual Fall Fest Pageants, ages birth to 48 months for boys and girls and age four-18 year old (must not be out of school), will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the DeKalb County Complex Auditorium. The first pageant will begin at 10 a.m. Entry fee is $25 with optional categories available including People’s Choice. Deadline to enter is October 27, 2023. Applications are available at the Smithville Review and on the event’s Facebook.
Commodity Distribution, Oct. 26
The Upper Cumberland Human Resources Agency will hold a commodities distributuion for DeKalb county on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the DeKalb County UCHRA Office. Sign-up available at the distribution site.
Habitat For Humanity Chili Cook-off, Oct. 13
Chili Cook-Off and Bake Sale will be Friday, October 13, 2023. Serving will be from 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the DeKalb County Courthouse Lawn Square. Weather permitting. Make a donation and eat all the chili you want.
