DeKalb West School congratulates the Students of the Month for April and May. The following students received the top honors last month: Leelyn Poston, PreK, Harley Eschman, Kindergarten, Luke Gonzalez, 1st grade, Archer Moore, 2nd grade, Chase South, 3rd grade, Annabelle Ray, 4th grade, Carson Maynard, 5th grade, Conner Robinson 6th grade, Brylee Key, 7th grade, and Halia McDaniel, 8th grade.

In May the following students were selected: Arwen Komandosky, PreK, Case O’Conner, Kindergarten, Magda Komandosky, 1st grade, Henry Dunaway, 2nd grade, Nolan Hale, 3rd grade, Claire Cripps, 4th grade, Wesleigh McBay, 5th grade, Adysen Olivas, 6th grade, Charley Prichard, 7th grade, and Cryslan Cecil, 8th grade.

Principal Sabrina Farler and Assistant Principal Cindy Snow also presented awards to the April Teacher of the Month Amy Young, who teaches PreK, and the Employee of the Month to Alex Hancock, Educational Assistant. In May the Teacher of the Award went to P.E. Teacher and Boys Basketball Coach Kelly Pyburn and the Employee of the Month was presented to Cafeteria Manager Nancy Mulloy.
