Edgar Evins State Park Cookbook Now on Sale

The Friends of Edgar Evins State Park dedicated the Edgar Evins State Park Cookbook to Carl Halfacre in recognition and appreciation of his many years of service to Edgar Evins State Park as a Ranger and Park Manager.

 

The Edgar Evins State Park Cookbook goes on sale December 7, 2024 at the Visitor’s Center in the park from 12 pm to 5 pm. Afterward, the cookbook will be available for purchase at the Visitor’s Center during business hours. All proceeds from cookbook sales will go toward projects within the park. $10 cash per copy.

 

This spiral bound cookbook features regular recipe sections and a special section on campfire cooking, wild game and Heritage recipes. 

 

Also on December 7 at the Park Visitor’s Center:

 

  • 12:30 – 5 pm Homemade chili $5 per bowl, proceeds go toward the map and compass course, coming soon to the park.
  • 5 pm – complimentary refreshments at the visitor’s center
  • 6 pm – the Lighting of the Tower and photo opportunity with Santa Squatch
