Preaching in the park, Sept. 25

 New Home Missionary Baptist Church will be having Preaching in the park. Bro. Bobby Lee Hale is pastor. Come and bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the preaching from Bro. Glen Denton, and Bro. Terry Wilkerson. The event begins at 2 p.m. at Greenbrook Park. Come out and enjoy the fellowship.

 

Singing, Oct. 2

The Agee Family will be at “Singing on the Hill” at Short Mountain UMC on October 2, 2021 at 4 p.m. Bring your chairs, blankets and come enjoy good singing and food! There will be hot dogs, chili, chips and desserts. The church is located at 7312 Short Mountain Road, Highway 146, Woodbury, TN.

 

Reunion, Cancelled

Than Judkins Family Reunion will be cancelled again this year due to covid. Everyone stay safe and hope to see you next year.

 

Homecoming & Revival, Oct. 10

Covenant Baptist Church, corner of Miller Road and Short Mountain Street, will be having Homecoming on October 10, 2021 beginning at 11 a.m. lunch will be served. Revival will begin that evening at 5 p.m. Bro. Thurman Seber will be bringing the message. Monday through Friday services will begin at 7 p.m. Special singing nightly. Everyone come join us.

Parkinson’s Support group, Oct. 5

The Parkinson’s Support group will meet October 5 at 10 a.m. at Caney Fork Baptist, 2404 Highway 70 E. Cookeville. The speaker will be Dennis Parker. Topic will be his personal journey with Parkinson’s disease. Contact Peggy Nesmith at 931-854-5799 with any question. Masks and social distancing required.

 

L.B.J. & C. Head Start, Oct. 5

The monthly meeting of the L.B.J. & C. Head Start Policy has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 5, 2021 beginning at 6 p.m. The meeting will held at the L.B.J. & C. Development Corporation, 1150 Chocolate Drive, Cookeville, Tennessee.

 

Grief Support Group

Are you interested in a Grief Support Group? We are concerned about all the losses in our area. If you or someone you know, would be interested in a group this fall call 615-597-4673. Let us know if a day or night group would be best for you. Also, would you need child care? There is no charge for support groups. We do offer individual grief counseling. If there is no insurance coverage we have a sliding fee scale and some scholarships.
