The 2nd Annual DeKalb Festival of Trees was a great success this year. Founder and creator Josh Issac was overjoyed to share all the details.

“The Festival of Trees has taken on a Spirit of its on,” said Issac. “So many people jumped in to help and participate this year. You could feel the excitement as we got closer to the event. With over 40 trees this year this was a must see event.

“All decorating trees stepped it up this year. You could tell everyone was competitive for charity “replied Issac. “Opening night DeKalb came out as they enjoyed seeing the decorated trees, refreshments, local vendor shopping, and pictures with Santa. They also brought unwrapped toys and placed them under the trees they wanted to win the 2019 Tree of the Year the biggest honor of the festival.

“This year we are happy to announce we collected over 2,300 toys for Light House Christian Camp Christmas Ministries and DeKalb Foster Care,” said Isaac. “This number is such a reflection of how our community comes together and cares that’s why I love to live here!”
