Terry Foutch, RN, EMT-P, CEN, has been named chief flight nurse and base manager for Vanderbilt LifeFlight’s Cookeville helicopter base.
Foutch, who has been a flight nurse with Vanderbilt LifeFlight since 2016, will be responsible for overseeing the operations of LifeFlight 7 and managing the medical crew members that staff the base.
He has lived in Cookeville since 1995 and is from Smithville.
Terry has vast experience in health care, having worked in an emergency department, intensive care unit, home health and a cath lab. He has managed several departments in nursing, with the most recent before joining LifeFlight as the senior director of Critical Care Services at Livingston Regional Hospital. Foutch started his EMS career in 1983 with Rutherford County EMS. He worked with Nashville Fire/EMS from 1986 to 1992. He received his B.S. degree in nursing from Tennessee State University in 1989.
“I am looking forward to providing continuity in leadership here at LifeFlight 7 and the program as a whole,” Foutch said. “I plan to work to facilitate the mission and hard work of the professionals I will serve in this leadership role.”
