A South Mountain Street man faces felony charges after he assaulted several people, pulling one man’s hair out, scattering it around the residence for police to later find.
The man, Hugo Gora, II, 45, is set to stand for arraignment Jan. 24 in General Sessions Court on two counts of aggravated assault. He could face three to six years in prison on both counts if convicted.
He is accused to assaulting several people during a domestic episode, one of the victims suffering a brain injury after he cracked him across the head with a rifle.
“He hit him with a Winchester 22 caliber long rifle causing a three-inch gash on his head, fracturing his skull, causing a brain bleed,” the police report revealed, noting the victim in the case was the boyfriend of one of Gora’s family members.
It was during the assault on the man that Gora pulled the man’s hair out in clumps. Police would later find the hair all around the house when they came to investigate the incident.
Along with the critically injured man, Gora is accused to cutting a family member on the hand with a knife and then hitting her in the mouth with a wooden box.
What caused the blow up between Gora and the others has not been revealed; however, police found him to be the primary aggressor in the tussle.
