It didn’t rise to the level of George Jones getting busted for drunk driving on his riding lawn mower on the way to the liquor store but a local man is still looking at some mandatory time behind bars after he was caught drunk driving on a tractor.
The suspect, Scott Green Pedigo, 52, is charged with second offense DUI. He was stopped by deputies after they came upon the tractor with Pedigo behind the wheel on Obie Adcock Road. The tractor had no lights on and it was 10:53 p.m. at night.
“He was very fidgety and unsteady on his feet,” the officer said of the unusual traffic stop, noting his nervous actions prompted him to search the nocturnal tractor driver. It was at that point methamphetamine was found on his person.
“He admitted to using methamphetamine,” the report revealed. “He agreed to take a sobriety test but did poorly.”
Pedigo got more citations when he refused to take a blood test, meaning he will automatically loose his license for violation of the implied consent law. He was also cited for driving without headlights.
