The Smithville-DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce recently presented a Community Improvement Award to Hurricane Marina, located at 1287 Floating Mill Road, Silver Point, in recognition of their striking new mural created by The Iron Brush Mural Company.

This vibrant and expansive artwork adds a stunning visual element to the marina, enhancing the lakefront atmosphere and providing a colorful, welcoming backdrop for both visitors and locals. The mural celebrates the natural beauty and lively spirit of the Center Hill Lake area.

“The mural is a beautiful addition to the marina and a wonderful example of how art can uplift and enhance our community spaces,” said Chamber Director Suzanne Williams. “We’re proud to recognize Hurricane Marina for their continued investment in making DeKalb County a more attractive and inviting place.”

The Chamber’s Community Improvement Award honors individuals, businesses, and organizations that demonstrate exceptional dedication to enhancing the beauty and well-being of our community. This award celebrates those who lead by example, showing care, dedication, and a proactive commitment to keeping our community vibrant, clean, and welcoming.
