I Screamed and the Chipmunk screamed!
carolgunter

Some good news to pass along to you.  I told you of Rick Fann's
Lawnmower Shop burning a few weeks ago.  Well, he's building his shop
back.  I'm so glad for Rick as he has a lot of customers.
The last two days we've received an abundance of rain around
here.  At our house, there's been a total of three inches.  However,
Russell Taylor says he's had 7.2 inches at his place.  He must be
paying the preacher more than me.  It could turn off dry again so
let's be thankful for the rain.
The unfriendly winds of change are all around us nowadays in my
opinion.  People are out of control in our country and other countries
of this world.  Human life especially the unborn, are not given a
second thought by the devil's crowd that are for abortion.  A sad
future awaits those that have not accepted Jesus Christ as their
Savior.
A scary moment for me the other day.  Going around the house
checking my flowers when all of a sudden there was a chipmunk that
spotted me about the same time I spotted him.  He was squealing loudly
as he jumped straight up in the air and then took off around the front
of our house.  I don't know if I squealed or hollered but, I too, was
scared.  I don't know who scared who the most.  Haven't seen the
little fella for days.  He may still be recovering from the shock of
seeing me.
Gwynn Butcher and granddaughter, Addie, stopped by for a visit on
Wednesday.  They are doing well.  We had a great time reminiscing
about so many happenings in the family over the years.  Dusty and
Kristie Johnson spent time with me also that day.  Spoke with Russell
Taylor and he's feeling somewhat better after being sick for a few
days.  Rick and Beverly Hubler came by last week.  Connie Cantrell
stopped by on Friday.  Burley Bogle, like me, glad to see the rain we
have been getting.  It was getting pretty dry around here and we'll
take any amount of rain we can get at this point.
Last I heard from "Thelma and Louise" they are still on the go
and still checking out yard sales and having a ball getting some
bargains in the process.  Will try to get an interview with them
before long.  Hopefully, I'll be seeing them at the yard sale here at
our house around the last of September, if it's not too hot.
Let's keep praying for the following people:  Diane Evans, Mary
Melton, Tracy Neal, Leander Taylor, Jeff Young, Rose Watts, Walter and
Faye Ferrell, Charlie Mai Daniel, the people of Israel and Ukraine,
the leaders of our country, and the family of Glenn Byford.
Have a great day!
