An inmate kneeing a corrections officer where the sun don’t shine and a man who choked his girlfriend and drove her head into a wall were among the arrests made this past week by the sheriff’s department.

 

Sy James Gohs, 21, was arrested for assault. He is charged for assault for kneeing a correctional officer in the testicles while an inmate at the jail.

 

James Cary Hicks Jr., 39, was arrested for third-offense driving on a suspended driver license and violating an order of protection.

He asked for law enforcement assistance on Clear Fork Road and during that time they figured out he was driving without a license. He was additionally charged for violating an order of protection taken out by a family member against him. He is accused to going to a residence where the family member was at.

 

Byron Ray Wilson, 42, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. He was seen going through a red light on South Congress and a warrant was taken against him. He was cited for possession of drugs when officers found meth and pills on him when they arrived to arrest him.

 

Michelle Kay Fitzgerald, 44, of Shelbyville was arrested for second-offense DUI. She was arrested after a wreck on Chapman Hollow Road. The officer found her to be under the influence and she did poorly on her field sobriety test. She has a prior arrest for DUI out of Nashville in 2013.

 

Eric Trent Johnson was arrested for simple possession of drugs and possession of methamphetamine to sell or deliver. Johnson was pulled over for improper display of plates. The officer noticed Johnson might be impaired. Johnson was searched and meth was found on his person. A bag of illegal substance was found during a search of his truck. In all, 4.3 grams of meth was found in his possession.

 

41, Harry Carlson MaCintosh was arrested for aggravated assault. He was arrested on Old Bildad Road after a deputy arrived to investigate a domestic assault regarding her boyfriend. She told the officer he choked her and pushed her head into a wall before fleeing the scene. The deputy said he saw bruising on the victim’s neck.

 

John Paul Rowe, 38, of Nashville was arrested for third-offense driving on a revoked license and possession of meth. His vehicle was pulled over by a deputy on McMinnville Highway when he noticed one of his headlights were out. His license has been revoked since 2013. Officers found 4.7 grams of meth and seven grams of cocaine, packaged in separate bags. He was also caught with oxycodone.
