It is Time for the 44th Annual Older Americans Day Celebration
Older American Day

The month of May is recognized nationally as Older Americans Month, a time when we acknowledge the vast contributions older adults make to their families, communities and the nation.

Justin Potter Library is partnering with the Alexandria and Smithville Senior Centers in hosting the Older Americans Day Celebration.  The event will be held in the theatre area of the Mike Foster Multi-Purpose Center located at 712 S Congress Boulevard on Wednesday, May 15.

The vendor displays will be located in the gym area from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with drawings for door prizes, entertainment and lunch to follow.

This year’s theme is “Powered by Connection”.  The featured entertainment will be the classic rock band “61 Seconds”.  We want to thank the local businesses and organizations for providing the door prizes, items for the goody bags and sack lunches for the older Americans to enjoy.

Everyone who is an Older American is invited to this free event. For more information, call Justin Potter Library at 615-597-4359 visit us on Facebook, Instagram or our website at dekalblibraraies.net.
