A Jamboree to Remember
Proposal
John Catalano surprised everyone, including his girlfriend Angelina Romero when he dropped down on one knee and proposed on stage at the Jamboree. She said “Yes.”

The 50th Annual Smithville Jamboree and Crafts Festival will be remembered in more ways than one for one couple, after a man popped the question on stage in front of the crowd.

Angelina Romero was called to the stage by emcee Tom Duggin, with Duggin announcing that someone had found her driver’s license. When Romero and her boyfriend, John Catalano, went to pick up the item, Duggin called them up on stage in order to give her license back, but it was all a ruse.

Once on stage Catalano dropped down on one knee, much to the amazement of Romero and the crowd, and proposed. Romero said yes, much to the delight of everyone involved.

The couple are from Colorado, but Catalano said that his parents live in DeKalb County and that they have been coming to the Jamboree for the last 10 years. John said he just wanted to ask the question at the Jamboree on stage.

Congratulations to the couple.
