Young and old alike enjoyed the Summer Reading Program held at the County Complex.

The Justin Potter and Alexandria Libraries’ Summer Reading Program continued last week with Barry Mitchell’s Animal Tales, Turtle Shells and a Chicken. The show featured some magic, some funny stories, and some puppets for the kids and parents in attendance.

The Summer Reading Program is being hosted at the DeKalb Community Complex each Thursday during the month June, at 2:00 PM. Children of all ages can begin registering for Summer Reading at either library.

“We hope you will join us for a fun filled in-person Summer Reading Program. We are looking forward to seeing everyone,” said Library Director Kathy Hendrixson.

The next program will be held on Thursday, June 17, and will feature Bob Tartar and his Animalogy Critters. The final program will be held the following Thursday, and will feature Edgar Evins State Park Rangers and Animal Critters.
