



A 30 year-old Alexandria man was arrested after entering a home, punching and hitting the homeowner with a bat.
Samuel Kameron Vanatta, 30, entered a home on January 31, 2023 by kicking the door in. After inside, he hit the homeowner repeatedly in the leg with a bat. He also punched the homeowner in the head. Vanatta busted a cell phone, a TV, fan and caused damage to the front door. Damage amount $1,920. His bond was a total of $35,000.
Laura Carol Ratliff, 50, of Lasscassas was arrested on Feb. 28 for driving under the influence. A sheriff’s deputy responded to a vehicle accident on Hwy. 70 and Billings Road. Ratliff, the driver of one of the vehicles, appeared to be under the influence. She admitted to having consumed two beers. She submitted to standard field sobriety task at which she performed poorly. There was an empty bottle of Southern Comfort and three empty beer cans in the back seat.
Michael Anthony Vestal, 20, Old Hickory was arrested on March 4 and charged with under age driving while impaired. A deputy responded to a call about a reckless driver, and when he made contact with the vehicle it ran off the side of the road. Vestal had an odor of alcohol, submitted to a field sobriety task performing poorly. This vehicle was reported to have been in an accident in Wilson County.
