A man caught prancing naked at the county complex recently has been hit with indecent exposure charges as well as assault counts after he allegedly assaulted two women at the facility.

The man, David Alan Stroud, 35, of Smithville will face arraignment Jan. 17 on the misdemeanor counts of indecent exposure, evading arrest and two counts of assault.

Stroud was caught in the senior citizens area of the county facility, walking around totally naked. When a cleaning lady and the senior director tried to speak to him, he assaulted them and ran outside. Police found him in the front yard at the Sober Living halfway house on South College a short time later. However, he did not come peacefully as police had to chase him inside the residence and take him into custody on a back bedroom there.

An investigation revealed that Stroud had been walking in the hallways inside the Complex for some time before he was caught by the women. Neither of the victims suffered serious injury in their tussle with the naked man.
