A man who stomped back into the scene of the crime wearing boots he had stolen ten days before has been charged with trying to steal shoe shine for his stolen footwear.
The man, Jackie Blake Sanders, 35, is charged with theft and simple possession of drugs. His arrest came when police were called to Fluty’s after he had been detained in the store on suspicion of shoplifting. When police arrived, they found he had been stopped from leaving because he had tried to conceal shoe shine without paying for it. They also found it wasn’t the first time he had stolen from the establishment.
“Upon speaking to Sanders, it was discovered that the boots he was wearing had been taken from the store two weeks prior and a bottle of shoe shine had been taken that day,” the police report revealed.
The issue kept getting worse for the stolen-boots-wearing shoplifter when officers searched his person incident to arrest.
“A container was found in the right front pocket of his pants that contained a blue capsule found to be morphine and a small bag with approximately one gram of white crystal substance that later tested positive for meth,” the report noted.
