A man hotwired an all-terrain vehicle and then made his own gate, running through a fence to abscound with the stolen ATV.
The suspect, Timothy Tyler McWhirter, 22, of Walling was arrested for vandalism, theft and aggravated criminal trespass. He was arrested for driving a stolen four-wheeler through a fence of a business off Four Seasons Road while stealing the machine. He hotwired the ATV by breaking open the ignition lock and later spray painted the vehicle to try to disguise the stolen four-wheeler. The 2017 Honda Recon is valued at $12,000.
In other arrests made this past week by sheriff’s deputies.
Andrew Thomas Ellis, 24, of Liberty was arrested for evading arrest and criminal impersonation. He evaded arrest in June of 2018 on a motorcycle and got away from the pursuing deputy. The warrants have been active since that time.
Bryan Allen Cunningham, 30, was arrested for violation of the sex offender law. He was charged for living with a female and her small child without registering his new address as required by the sex offender registry.
Kimberly Leigh Anaya, 18, was arrested after she was found acting disoriented off Antioch Road. She was arrested for her safety and the safety of the public. Ronald Eugene Weldon, 31, of McMinnville was also arrested for public intoxication at the same time. He was also found to be under the influence and arrested.
Jason Lamonte Hemphill of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas was arrested for being a fugitive from justice. He was pulled over by a deputy and it was discovered he was wanted out of Indiana for felony possession of methamphetamine. Indiana w a nts to extradite.
